The audio can be downloaded or streamed online as mp3 files, and we also have pdf manuscripts available. Everything is available for free. Reformed Praise is a music ministry dedicated to bringing together the rich tradition of hymn music, especially from the reformers or those directly influenced by them, with modern worship music. A great wealth of worship music is being “lost” today in sea of often over-simplified contemporary praise choruses. Worship songs should be full of rich, biblical truth; truth that is all too often absent from modern worship songs. Hymns are a great source of deep lyrics, but many of the tunes used in hymns actually hinder rather than help believers feel what they’re singing. Modern worship styles offer a new way to make the lyrics of these hymns come alive to new generations.
The website is run by our very own David Ward, and is meant to be a resource for both churches and individuals to discover these new songs. The website is particularly targeted at worship leaders, making lyrics, sheet music and chords available for use in worship services. It can also be a great resource for anyone who’s interested in worship music.
